SUMMARY:FREE train rides with SANTA!
DESCRIPTION:  \n\n \nCome out and enjoy FREE short train rides and meet Santa on Saturday\, December 17\, 2022\, at the Louisiana Steam Train Association (LASTA) train yard at the rear of 1501 Jefferson Hwy\, Jefferson\, LA 70121. \nRide with your family and friends in our open-air gondola or caboose\, pulled by one of our historic diesel locomotives. Gate opens at 10:00 AM and be sure to wave at Santa Claus when he arrives on the train at 10:30 AM. Once Santa arrives\, we will have free rides from 11:00 AM till 4:00 PM. \nAnd while you are here be sure to take a look at our historic 100 + year-old steam locomotive\, SP 745\, which is currently being rebuilt. Check out our other multiple pieces of antique rail equipment dating back to the early 1900s. \nFood\, drinks\, and gift shop merchandise are available for purchase while supplies last! All proceeds go toward the rebuild and maintenance of SP 745\, the lone surviving Louisiana-built steam locomotive! \nCome join us for a good ol’ time!
