Before any steam locomotive is initially put in service or brought out of retirement, and after every 1472 service days or 15 years, whichever is earlier, an individual competent to conduct the inspection shall inspect the entire boiler.

Volunteer 

Please visit us at the yard on any given Saturday, meet our people, check out the projects and consider becoming part of the Crew!  The yard is located at 1501 Jefferson Hwy (New Orleans) across the street from Ochsner Hospital.  You do not need any specific railroad experience.

Help in all sorts of ways – train operations, maintenance, yard work, technical expertise, marketing, administrative, special events, etc. We have a place for YOU! Join us on Saturdays at the yard and meet other members with the same love of railroads.
